As I mentioned on my previous posts about my daughter's Quinceanera party, Mari has a lot of ideas:she wants snowflake kind of winter in Florida theme(yes,in june and in Florida) lots of bling,red and black as base colors,turtles and ladybugs and personalized items that can include also red tattoo roses and bling again. Her name and the number 15 placed with purpose all around.

Planning a quinceanera takes many months and is not an easy task, but if you plan your quinceanera party (like I'm doing) with plenty of time it can turn into a perfect fifteen celebration.

Here are some other items from fellow artisans and crafters that could be a great addition to the venue.I will take care of the shoes and they will take care of the rest.Now,I'm blown away with all these spectacular creations..I wonder if I can custom design everything with her theme.

Mari's Quinceanera Story

Maria del Mar is turning 15 in a few months,and being that she has spanish origin,she chose her Quinceanera fiesta instead of a sweet 16. Both ideas were good for me,but this one is awesome! I had my own 15 year old party long ago and now I have the chance to plan and design her party in an era when everything is fancier and chic.
You might have guessed right ,since I'm a shoe designer...I'm all fully and deeply compromised and particularly interested in every detail that makes the perfect shoes for my own princess.
Mari has a lot of ideas,so like the pickiest bride or teen,she has a big spectrum of personal accents that she desires to portrait on her shoes,to make them unique and a keepsake to store forever.

Planning a quinceanera takes many months and is not an easy task, but if you plan your quinceanera party (like I'm doing) with plenty of time it can turn into a perfect fifteen celebration.

So where do you start? Well, planning a Sweet 16, or even if it’s a debutante,homecoming Queen, cotillion or Quinceanera Party, whatever the coming of age celebration is, it is not a difficult job anymore. And I will focus my attention today only on the shoes.

She has a theme of snowflakes (in Florida,by the end of june...teens are funny!) plus ladybugs on red tones,a turtle on the sole, her name and date on the side ..maybe the date only in numbers? She loves red,so the turtle might be red!!! and of course red tattoo roses at front with lots of bling.

After that I introduced a new line of very high heels with a painted aqua sole,although she was happy with a red sole,very Louboutin

Well,I said let's focus again,that is the problem with being the designer's daughter...too many options.

Ahhhhh I can breath now again,we are getting back on track.

A Maxi Dress in a realy versatile piece, it can look amazing for the day time

A peshtemal is a Turkish traditional towel used in the Turkish baths. It is also used to specify which region people are from and is a part of a deep cultural tradition. In some places, it's called pestamal or pestemal. There are many kinds of peshtamals, with different styles and colors in each local areas in Turkey.

Next to red and pink, purple is next on my favorite colors list! These were custom made for some very stylish bridesmaids and turned out so cute I had to make some extras.

One of a kind assemblage statement necklace inspired by the film “Black Swan”.

Silver metal wing stampings have been painted and oxidized, the surface was brushed to bring out some of the silver for more depth, and sealed with wax to protect its patina. The backs of the wings remain its original antiqued silver color.

And honoring my Lord, I would wear the Beautiful lily-of-the-valley flowers feature on both sides of this linen/cotton mix clutch, lined in pink silk for a little luxury every time it is opened.

There are three main trends for colour themes in 2011. The vintage feel, catwalk nudes and the color 'pop'.The color pop will work brilliantly at any summer or autumn wedding and bright colors big for 2011 include hot pinks, bright oranges, azure blues and apple greens.
The 2011 wedding trends include rustic-chic concepts, lots of details and a ton of creativity. Outdoor weddings are a big must as soon as the sun begins to shine (or not!) and indoor weddings are getting a little break.

Faux rose petals, diamond confetti and shells/starfish remain the most popular confetti. Also, flowering vines or individually cut flowers are placed directly onto table linens. Last night I was surfing the facebook web and I friend "liked" Nina Hagen and I was like..wow!
I remembered how I used to sing her songs in my last year of High School.She was not the girl next door.
She was wearing all that make up and clothing very particular (not for the 80's but for the simple eye.)
To my surprise,I started to read her new album song titles and I was shocked at them and what she wrote about her

beloved friend and sister Ari Up who passed away recently: "Kingdom of Heaven on Earth" to me!!

Now this daughter of God has recieved her heavenly crown !God has called my beloved sister home and it will take some time for me to heal from the loss of a wonderful sister on earth .THANKS to JESUS : GOOD 2 KNOW : We shall all REUNiTE again in The Homeland Of The Soul!My King said : "LOVE! Snowflakes and swirls completely hand painted for a Bridal design on white satin heels.Accents on white,pearl,charcoal grey and glitter.
Glamorous satin pump that I embellished with 400 rhinestones on the heel and to complete the overall concept on the satin.
This pair shows a custom designed pair that I recommend on Debutant or Gala from Dyeables.

If you like this design on other style of shoes,they can be custom designed by request on any other dyeable shoe. Also colors of background can be changed to match your theme,flowers,bridesmaids or just for the fun of "something blue too"
