I usually write about fashion

But we celebrated yesterday my sister's bridal shower. We have been planning it for a long time.
She wanted a hot pink and black combo on a damask theme. I purchased many items online at fellow etsian shops such as: lip shaped soap favors from www.

ShowerMe

.etsy.com ,damask invitations from www.

happygirlgreetings

.etsy.com
,utensils and table clothes.
We had two awesome cakes made by good friends ,one of the ,our wondeful cake maker Monica Nazario and the other one believe it or not made by the best man at Vivian's wedding.
Vero and Flor were in charge of food, that gladly filled our event purchased at Cotsco and I have to say that pastries and goodies are really good. Many of the girls were wearing hot pink and black.
I stood for black alone ,of course. And Valeria was radiant, shiny, glowing.
It was a busy afternoon followed by a great storm and a night to remember with friends, family and coworkers. We played a game of dressing a model with tissue paper and making a gown out of it. I was freaking out. That was my moment. I was creating the dress when I saw the other girls having fun with it and making bows and stuff on her hair. She started to look like a joke.
That is when I realized I wasn't on Project Runway! It was only a game!
Just wanted to show you some pictures to enjoy.

Featured artist Aly from DaintycrochetbyAly

Who are you?
Aly is the person behind the hook, always, thinking about the magic world of crochet. My hook understand me and I hold her carefully. I have a little boy and husband, I am originally from Venezuela, a hot country with kind people! ;-)
What do you create?
I crochet anything that comes to my mind and I see in my dreams, inspiration is everywhere... and I never know where is going to take me next time....lately I have been more creative with necklaces, its been my favorite thing to do. I used to do a little each sumer and this year my creativity has been focused on that.
How long have you been doing your craft?
Since I was a very little girl, my oldest sister taught me the basics, and while she was sewing, she kept next to her, we were always busy doing something, we never had time to be bored!, Through the years, I became really obsessed with crocheting, you wouldn't believe!! all the places I used to be crocheting, my classmates and teachers always saw me crocheting ! my family and friends, everybody knew about it!, seriously, I can't stop!.
What do you like about creating?
I love seeing just a thin thread becoming something...beads and threads are my favorites materials.
What do you like about your business?
I like creating something for people that they treasure, I love spreading the word about an art that many people consider something from the past, I hear all the time, "my grandma used to crochet".
How did you find out about Etsy?
One day I was thinking of designing a flower and I started looking for real pictures of flowers, I found flickr and next thing, I found etsy!
Do you sell your products anywhere other than Etsy?
Not right now.
What do you do when you're not creating products for your shop?
I take care of my litlle boy and family!, my most important thing ! My universe. Our blessing. :-)

Show some skin...

It seems like summer is t-shirt time. I had 2 request from 2 different groups about t-shirt designs. I know whats happening, you want to show! Summer is exposure so, keep it rolling, show what you got , show me what you want to say.Who are you? What you do? I love this people who represent themselves with big bold letters on black t-shirts. My son has one that says in big bold letters: Global Warming is nothing next to Eternal Burning. Wow! Touchy! I show you in this picture a new design for a christian ballet team that I'm proud to feature(My sister dance there) . They are commited to dance to the Lord and they are not ashamed to say it. I'm planning on making another design full colored, but this one looks good even in the chubby ones!
