Gorgeous Designs: Poltock and Walsh

The super-talented duo have seriously impressed me! From featuring a dramatic skirt from their Autumn-Winter 2008-2009 Preview Collection on Vogue.com Loves, to having one of the most beautiful and desired accessories for Summer 2008, the beautifully festooned flower garland, London’s new talents Poltock and Walsh are designers on the rise!
Their Summer 2008 collection was not just dreamy but greatly inspiring. It featured soft beautiful colors, dreamy silky materials, lots of ruffles, and the most amazing must-have flower garland accessory, pictured below. The flower garland was featured on Vogue.com Loves and described as “the most beautiful accessory this summer.” It is absolutely stunning and can be worn over everything. You can have it as a center piece and pair it with a simple shirt or tank top or you can go extra-extravagant and put it over a short dress.
And now Poltock and Walsh are back with their Autumn-Winter 2008-2009 Preview Collection and scoring another Vogue.com Loves space. For the coming season, all eyes will be on the dramatic skirt from their collection, pictured below. The silk skirt resembles a twist of flower ruffles and is in the autumn colors of plum and crimson. You can chose to wear it simple with a black tank top or more dramatically during the evening with high heels. Show some skin...

It seems like summer is t-shirt time. I had 2 request from 2 different groups about t-shirt designs. I know whats happening, you want to show! Summer is exposure so, keep it rolling, show what you got , show me what you want to say.Who are you? What you do? I love this people who represent themselves with big bold letters on black t-shirts. My son has one that says in big bold letters: Global Warming is nothing next to Eternal Burning. Wow! Touchy! I show you in this picture a new design for a christian ballet team that I'm proud to feature(My sister dance there) . They are commited to dance to the Lord and they are not ashamed to say it. I'm planning on making another design full colored, but this one looks good even in the chubby ones!

I am lucky to belong to a very talented team on etsy.com called Fashion, Design, and Lifestyle aka FDL. We get a lot of information from each other,promote our shops(many members have been featured here)and we collaborate and discuss about trends, color,fashion and styles.The team just recently decided to open up a store on etsy. (http://fdlteam.etsy.com )and I'd love you to go there and post your comments or take a look at our creative members blogs and pics.I'm still working on my dress , very hard work on a totally upcycled patchwork theme, that means, using bootlegs from many differents kinds and tones on blue jeans, I created a dress, that fits like a glove. I added real turquoise beadings and flowers, in turquoise too ( our chosen color).I can't wait to post the pictures, in the meantime,go there,observe and be ready for shopping!

IslandFest was a success!

I think most of the people measures sucess with money. But not me. I think Island fest in Davis Island this past weekend was a sucess in many ways:
*I had the chance to spend all saturday with my sister Vero in a road trip that we never had before!
*I met wonderful artists like Jennifer Hopkins from etsy, who took the chance to write me an email and keep in touch
*the weather was gorgeous
*the island magnificent
*God took care of us traveling in the mist of a foggy route with wild animals like pigs and deers!
*we came back home kicking and alive
*Our families were waiting for us like we were in Europe for 15 days!
*We had a lot of sunlight and sunburn...I look good!
*We ate for free, some sandwiches and really cold water
*We tasted good ice cream
*We related to costumers
*We had lots of small naps!
*We got there at 5 a.m. very early and I was sure it was the right place, but in the other side of the bay
*We saw the sun coming out in that amazing scenery
*We have pictures of how messy our both looked..hahaahh
*We had lots of coffee!
*We travel alone in my loved pt cruiser
*We talked for hours and had fun hearing a very Loud Fake Elvis
*We met Jen, the wonderful lady organizing and 2 gentleman too( I guess one was called Jim)
*We watched many dogs and puppies around the tent
*We fell in love with hundreds of babies that made us remember our own babies!
*We came back with a ton of ideas!
